We at Centroplast are experts for the entire manufacturing chain: from granules, to semi-finished products and its post-treatment, right up to finished products. Understanding this process chain and continuous internal communication are both goals and potential – striving at all times to become even better. We also ensure that we meet our high quality standards with our own tool manufacturing facility. None of this would be possible without our highly specialised employees.

Extrusion

The right extrusion starts with the choice of granules. All of our extrusion lines are designed to the latest technical standards, and built and maintained by Centroplast itself. Industrie 4.0 is taking hold at our facility too. Digital recording and monitoring of all process parameters is part of our daily routine.

TEMPERING

After the extrusion process, the semi-finished products are treated, either thermally or by adding moisture. Thanks to the years of expertise of our employees, we are familiar with the full range of post-treatment processes for all materials and dimensions, which makes a key contribution to the first-class quality of our semi-finished products in terms stress relief and suitability for machining.

 

Cutting

Our state-of-the-art machinery allows us to cut round rods, tubes, plates and sheets of over 3,000 mm in length, 1,220 mm in width and 100 mm in thickness. Our foil slitting system cuts foils with thicknesses from 0.3 to 0.8 mm. In addition to simple cutting, we also smoothen flat surfaces via planing, and rods and tubes by grinding. We guarantee minimum tolerances on material widths and thicknesses.

3D printing

 

As a manufacturing process, 3D printing gives developers and designers entirely new opportunities. We don’t merely restrict ourselves to a simple printing service, we focus on consulting regarding the design options offered by 3D printing and selection of the right print process in particular. We even go one step further by developing and manufacturing our own suitable input material. Our specialisation lies in the FDM process as well as the production of our own filament. However, we also offer all other conventional processes, e.g. STL and SLS. Our range is rounded off with corresponding post-treatment.

3D SCANNING

 

With our in-house 3D scanning service, we offer an efficient way of producing digital data for your existing component. This service is for everything from simple geometric contours right up to scanning complex geometries and surfaces.

The data produced in this way can be used for:

  • Producing CAD/CAM models for rapid reproduction of components without drawings
  • Reverse engineering: optimising the design of existing components
  • Quality control via dimension checks (comparison of actual and target values, test reports)

INJECTION MOULDING

With in-house expertise and our external partners, we offer you comprehensive capabilities in production of injection moulded components.

VACUUM MOULDING

The vacuum moulding processes is ideal for short runs and prototypes. We deliver the initial model for producing the mould using 3D printing or as turned/milled part, including your finished part on request.

THERMOFORMING

As an alternative to injection moulding, the thermoforming process is particularly economical for low and medium quantities. We deliver the input material or the finished part, with mechanical finishing where applicable.

PUNCHING

For punched parts such as seals or insulation, we provide with the right technical plastic raw material: Pre-cut as film on roll, as a sheet, or as a finished part on request.

LASERING

For high-precision cutting, we offer you the laser process. This process is particularly suitable for low volumes with high material use and high precision.

FOLDING

If folding is the right reshaping method for your designed part, we provide you with the right semi-finished product as a film or sheet in standard material. We can also produce custom materials developed specifically for your application.

FINISHING

If your machined component requires special surface treatment, we can support you with a wide range of finishing processes: Painting | Printing | Coating

COMPONENT ASSEMBLY

As a special service, we mount assemblies for you. Our service ranges from producing the machined plastic parts, to coordinating purchased parts and assembly, right up to function and quality testing.
