COMPARISON of Charpy impact resistancE
Plastics are subjected to high loads in plant construction and engineering. On one hand, they need a good coefficient of sliding friction. For these applications, we recommend the technical plastics POM-PE, POM-PTFE and PE-UHMW. On the other hand, plastics need to resist considerable impacts. See the diagram below for a selection of our plastics with high impact resistance. Some of our plastics even do not rupture under high loads. They include PA, PVDF, PC and the polyolefins PE and PP.
