WE ARE YOUR EXPERT
PARTNER IN THE
FOR YOUR PROJECT.
For components in the pharmaceutical industry, utmost precision and resilience are important, in addition to anti-bacterial properties. They also need to be as individual and flexible as possible at the same time. We help you find the right material and the appropriate design for the application. We offer you new opportunities by substituting expensive materials such as aluminium and stainless steel with plastic. Our components are used both in complex packaging machines and in apparatus engineering.
Below we provide you with tips and information on what you must bear in mind when choosing the right plastic for the pharmaceutical industry.
Maximum usage temperatures compared
Plastics are often autoclaved or sterilised in medical technology. For this, the thermoplastics have to withstand temperatures of up to 134°C. Many of our technical plastics meet this requirement. See the diagram below for a selection of our plastics with high maximum use temperatures.
Find a plastic using the user database
Besides the maximum usage temperature, other properties of a plastic are also highly relevant for medical technology. You can filter them based on the properties required in our user database.
CENTROLAB HT / PP-HT
CENTROLAB HT / PP-HT is our tailored plastic for higher temperature applications. Due to its suitability for sterilisation and autoclaving, the technical plastic is particularly suitable for medical technology.
Approvals and properties
In particular in medical technology, plastics come into contact with people. A range of requirements and guideline values must be fulfilled. You can download the most important certificates and properties of our plastics conveniently here as a PDF file.
